As a leading supplier of healthcare furniture to state and municipalities, Helland Møbler has in recent years worked purposefully to solve a challenge the industry has long faced: combining ecolabelling (the Nordic Swan Ecolabel) with surfaces that can withstand frequent cleaning with cleaning agents, including hand sanitizer.

Until now, eco-labeled furniture has only been delivered with water-based lacquer - a solution that isn't robust enough to withstand daily exposure to aggressive liquids over time. This has limited both functionality and durability. We have found the solution: a specially developed acid-cured lacquer that meets the strict requirements of the Nordic Swan Ecolabel and ensures both durability and safety.

After several years of intensive development, we have created a unique paint formula that is not only environmentally friendly, but also extremely durable. This solution has now been approved by the Nordic Swan Ecolabel, and Helland Møbler is the first and only company to offer eco-labeled furniture with surfaces that can withstand both hand sanitizer and strong cleaning agents - while retaining their appearance and quality even after 15 years.
